Yes, that’s Beyonce on the set of her upcoming Pepsi commercial. We guess if you can’t trademark your daughter’s name, shilling for soda is the next best way to make a buck. The photo of the pop star dressed in a gold pencil skirt and green cardigan, while sporting a beehive ‘do, surfaced earlier this week along with news that the ad will premiere during the 2013 Super Bowl. Bey is no stranger to the soda company, the “Dance For You” siren already has done four commercials for Pepsi over the last decade. One would normally expect King B to stop at four, since it is her favorite number, but her upcoming halftime show is presented by the soft drink brand.
It’s too soon to tell what Beyonce has in store, but we figured a look back at her four previous commercials might provide some insight. After all, Bey inspired Nicki Minaj‘s own Pepsi commercial earlier this year.
In 2002 Bey got operatic with her Carmen-inspired Pepsi ad (directed by Spike Lee). Hey, remember when Beyonce played Carmen in the MTV TV remake?
