It seems that Drake might have ruffled some feathers when he claimed that he would be executive producer on a posthumous Aaliyah album! And here's the reason why...........NO ONE came to Aaliyah's family or Timbaland or Missy to see if that was a good look or ok to do.
So in response to Drake's claims, here's what Missy and Timbaland had to say about the situation when you click on that "Read More" button below:
A rep for both Missy and Timbaland said this below:
"Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate", says Mona Scott-Young, longtime manager for Missy Elliott. “We've seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated."
Missy had this to say below:
“Tim and I carry Aaliyah with us everyday, like so many of the people who love her. She will always live in our hearts. We have nothing but love and respect for her memory and for her loved ones left behind still grieving her loss. They are always in our prayers."
So do you think Drake is going to go ahead and do the album anyway? Or do you think he will leave well enough alone? Only time will tell, but for now, what are your thoughts on this news? I'm all ears!!
