Have a wonderful weekend.
What are you up to this weekend? This week, my friend Samantha and I saw Moonrise Kingdom, which was charming. (This was the cutest moment.) This weekend, we're going up our friend's cabin to swim. Happy Father's Day to all the dads and dads-to-be out there! And here are a few great posts from around the web...

Party Pony How-to
It’s officially party season!
Glam up your look for the holidays using hairpieces and extensions. We’ll show you how!
What you’ll need for the Party Pony hairstyle:
- 22" Pony/Fall Extension by Daisy Fuentes WOW
- Bobby pins (4-6)
- Hairspray
- Brush/Comb
- Curling iron
To watch a video on how to apply this piece click here.
- Start by curling your hair to match the texture of the ponytail extension this particular piece comes curled. (By the way – if you wish to wear this ponytail straight, you can straighten it with your favorite flat iron because it is made with heat-friendly synthetic hair.)
- Section your hair from ear to ear and place it into a small bun or ponytail. Clip the top section out of the way for Step 4.
- Place the base of your drawstring pony over your bun or ponytail and pull the elastic band to tightly secure. Open the small clip located on the top, comb it over your hair, and then snap it closed.
- Unclip the top section from Step 2 and taking the tip of your teasing brush or comb, prep a small section to tease.
- Start at the crown and pull up a 1-2 inch section - the smaller the section the more volume you will create. Brush the hair back mid-way and run the brush down the length of the hair towards the crown, when you reach the scalp pull the brush out and start again. Make quick short strokes until you have the desired height and fullness. (Tip: the bigger the hair the closer to god.)
- Every time you backcomb spray a little bit of hairspray so that it holds the hair longer.
- Carefully use your brush to smooth down any fly-a-ways.
- Wrap smaller sections of the top around the base of the ponytail attachment and secure with bobby pins.
- To finish it off, pull sections of the secured top up to reach the desired height and look.
That’s all – super easy, right? If you give it a shot let us know, we’d love to see how your Party Pony turns out!

Changes are Taking the Pace I'm Going Through
That's besides the point though, what I am trying to say is, Michaela and I have been a bit preoccupied lately with, well, changes. In the past two weeks we have both moved into new places (twins!) and Michaela starts her new film production internship tomorrow. As soon as things slow down a bit expect to be hearing from us a lot more. That being said, I am currently sitting in Peet's catching up on my emails, facebook surfing, and of course, blogging (didn't think you could get rid of us that easily did you)!
So here's what on today's agenda: decorating. Since I just moved, my walls are looking a little bare and I am thinking they need a little love. I know it seems a little weird where I found my decoration inspiration but somehow it just works:
Michaela and I are both a little obsessed with Midnight in Paris, the new Woody Allen movie starring all my favorite actors and actresses (it even inspired the name of this blog). One of my favorite blogs Design Sponge recently did a post about the decor in the movie with some really spot on pictures and items.
The other half of my inspiration came from the coolest chick alive, Kate Moss. Maybe weird that I am using someone's wedding as inspiration for decorating my apartment but c'mon this girl can do no wrong. Seriously beautiful.

Stay tuned for pictures of the progress!

hairitis continuing to hide my hair and im
hairitis:
Continuing to hide my hair, and I’m going to Minnesota tomorrow to freeze my ass ofgo to a wedding. I usually do the turbans during this self-imposed challenge M-F, and just a hat on the weekend, or a wig if I’m actually going somewhere.
But, for MN, I think I’m going to wear a wig AND a hat, so keep my head extra warm, and my hair extra protected. I’m from NY, but I’ve been living in SoCal for the last 12 years, and I am not fit for a NY winter any more, let alone the fucking negative temperatures in Minneapolis today. Fuck that shit.
This wig is by It’s a Wig! (and yes, you do have to yell that wig company’s name, every time you say it), and the unit name is Patricia. It was about $25, probably a bit less, and I cut a shload of hair off of it, to make it less Rick James-ey. Going to a concert tonight, so I figured I’d wear some fun hair, rather than a headwrap.
I bought this wig only because I saw FabulasityIsMe rocking it, and fell in love with how she worked it out. Love that girl’s style. Check her out!
You look fab!! Hope you have a good time at that concert girl!

Yes, Chanel comes with a price tag that many cannot afford and will never own. But adding a little Chanel-inspired fun into your everyday wardrobe is actually rather easy. By mixing in sweet bows, pretty ribbon, classic tweeds and lace tights…you’ve literally done the trick! x.
