There will soon be another biopic of the late R & B singer Aaliyah in production. This movie will not be showing up on your TV screens anytime soon; instead it will be headed to the big screen.
It also appears that this movie has the blessing of Aaliyah's family behind it. R & B singer B. Simone has already been cast to play the songstress, and there are talks of Terrance Howard and Wood Harris joining the cast. The movie's script is being written by author Zane, and it is said that Aaliyah's family will have input regarding the script. The movie also has Barry Watkins, who was Aaliyah's uncle and manager, as part of the project. The music in the film will be music Aaliyah recorded before her untimely death, but there will be music used that the singer never released. The movie is set to debut in late 2015. I wonder how the two movies will compare to each other.Similar Posts:

All week everyone has been talking about the release of former Terror Squad rapper Remy Ma. She was supposed to be released on Thursday, but her release was delayed a day late. If you can recall she was locked up back in 2008 for shooting a former friend in the stomach after money had been stolen from her. However, the rapper wasted no time when it came to making new music as she was spotted in the studio with DJ Khaled. No word on what they're cooking up as of right now, but I can definitely confirm that once it drops everyone will flock to it. It's great to know that there is another female rapper back on the scene that can represent for the ladies.
Welcome Home Remy Ma!
Check out photos when you continue. . .
UPDATE: It turns out Remy Ma was in the studio laying down vocals for the "They Don't Love You No More" Remix.
Check it out below:

Kiesza Takes It To The Street |
During her network television debut performance in the States, Kiesza boldly went where most wouldn’t even think of bouncing off to: from the Late Show With David Letterman stage into the audience and, eventually, out into the New York City streets, with the cameras following her and a crew of dancers the whole time. It was a bid to recreate the urban aesthetic (and single shot nature) of her "Hideaway" video, and Kiesza pulled it off beautifully. Case in point: Letterman seemed speechless by the end of the whole thing.
Watch above as the singer and her crew jump all around the Ed Sullivan Theater, both inside and out, and don’t miss the part where Kiesza gets doused by an open fire hydrant!
Kiesza’s four-track Hideaway EP, containing the title hit song and new European single "Giant In My Heart," was released this week. Enter here to win tickets to her upcoming NYC show on July 22.

It was so much fun celebrating pop's divas who clawed their way to the middle that we're shining the spotlight on the dudes who did the same. Although they may be more likely today to upsell your fast-food order than to sell out arenas, nothing can take away their brush - however brief - with fame. Wherever you are and whoever you became, pop dudedom's almost-wases and never-weres, we'll never stop singing along with you!

Rising R&B singer August Alsina has teamed up with Nicki Minaj for a new song. When fans will hear it, though, remains to be seen.
Alsina announced the song over the weekend. He didn’t reveal the title, but he did give away a July 14 release date, which Minaj later contested. "Hmmmmmm my memo said the 15th Augusstttttttt," she said on Instagram, as in July 15 - yes, today. Just as fans caught wind of the news, however, Minaj said on Twitter that the song may not drop today, but by the end of this week for sure. "prefer to wait on iTunes but…" she said, without adding anything else.
Fans suspect that the two collaborated on a remix of Alsina’s "No Love," off his debut album Testimony. "No Love" just happens to be the lead single for Def Jam’s forthcoming Love & Hip Hop: Music From The Series soundtrack, out August 19. And as Singersroom notes, the song was to launch to radio on - you guessed it - July 14. For now, hear the VIBE cover star‘s original track below.

Leave This Whole World Behind! |
The Swede-pop duo Icona Pop is back with another punchy, irreverent summer anthem, this time being served up exclusively in their homeland - for now, at least.
Following the massive success of cuts like “I Love It (feat. Charli XCX),” “Just Another Night” and “Let’s Go” with Tiesto, the girls are giving it another go with their riotous Sweden-only single “Get Lost,” which first premiered on Swedish radio in late June.
The scenic accompanying lyric video, made to ensure you catch every colorful lyrical gem like “leave this whole f–ked up world behind!,” is a wild and blurry night out on the town (Los Angeles, maybe? And New York too?), and a perfect representation of the song’s rebelliousness. Learn the lyrics up top, and let us know if you think this could be a smash stateside too in the comments below.

We've always had a thing for polka dots. It was just a matter of time before we found this little prize. Rebecca Minkoff Sweetie mini bow bag with chain, $398 at Holt Renfrew
Today's Sac is, yet again, a study in details that leaves us weak in the knees and so we could say that it's part of a mini-collection within a collection.
Rebecca Minkoff went all dotty on us with her fall 2011 hand bags; the young American designer has been doing apparel since 2001 and six years ago she added bags to her playing deck. And why not.
With a dot here and a dot there, and then dots everywhere, you've got yourself one measly satchel- in a good way. We just can't decide which we'd spring for- the large Racy bag (below) is a staple but we're also loving the sweet bow-tied purple clutch (above) and the dove grey (bottom) for fall and spring.
Priced affordably at around the $400 mark, these will knock-out any LV, Marc Jacobs or Coach out of any cocktail bar lineup- no contest.
