We’ve been getting to know the hugely talented Bonnie McKee through her video series Breaking Bonnie, but now we’re getting into the real good stuff: The music. (That’s what it’s all about, right?) In the latest episode of McKee’s web series, the hitmaker hits the studio to begin putting together her own album with a cadre of A-list collaborators - people like her boyfriend and creative partner Oligee (Adam Lambert, Christina Aguilera), Joakim Ahlund (Robyn, Kelly Clarkson) and, most intriguingly, Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue and the near-perfect Tegan and Sara album Heartthrob).
She also cites her major influences as Blondie, early Madonna and Paula Abdul - and in doing so, pulls off the nifty trick of getting us more excited for this record than anything else due this year. Watch up top.
