Kate Middleton's Pregnant Bikini Pictures: Chi Magazine Defends Itself
Kate MiddletonCredit: Arthur Edwards - WPA Pool/Getty
Chi is at at again. The Italian tabloid magazine has printed pictures of Kate Middleton's pregnant bikini body in its latest issue, just five months after it published images of the Duchess of Cambridge sunbathing in the nude during a private vacation in France.
Out of respect for the royal couple's privacy, most mainstream publications, including Us Weekly, opted not to run the photos. On Wednesday, Feb. 13, Chi's editor in chief, Alfonso Signorini, defended his decision to distribute the pictures from Middleton and Prince William's recent babymoon in Mustique.
PHOTOS: How Kate Middleton prepared for life as a royal
"We cannot talk about a violation of privacy when we publish pictures of public people in a public place. The photographs of Kate and William were bought from an international photo agency," Signorini told Us in a statement. "You can't compare this with the media persecution of Lady Diana. I cannot stress enough that the photos were taken in a public place, not private property."
Owned by a corporation of ultra-rich residents, Mustique's 2.2 square miles hold 100 private villas.
PHOTOS: The royal couple's most romantic moments
St. James' Palace had previously released a statement about the new set of photos, telling Us: "We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas. This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy."
PHOTOS: Kate Middleton's body evolution
Signorini doesn't believe Chi owes the future parents an apology for sharing the pictures with the tabloid's readers. "[The Italian press] has not made a gentlemen's agreement [like the U.K.] with the Royal Household," he told Us. "Where is this so-called scandal they are trying to make it out as?"
After Chi published a 26-page spread of Middleton sunbathing nude in 2012 -- taken with a long lens on private property -- the couple's royal press secretary, Miguel Head, expressed his disdain for the tabloid's ethical practices.
PHOTOS: Nude celebrity scandals
"The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the Duke and Duchess for being so," Head said. "Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them."
Jenny McCarthy Defends Cousin Melissa McCarthy, Slams Film Critic Rex Reed: "He Can Go to Hell"

Don't mess with Jenny McCarthy's family. One week after veteran film critic Rex Reed attacked the actress' cousin Melissa McCarthy in a scathing write-up of the movie Identity Thief, the 40-year-old former Playboy model is speaking out. And she's not mincing any words.
"[Melissa is] very talented and people know that," McCarthy told E! News of the Bridesmaids star. As for Rex Reed? "He can go to hell."
PHOTOS: Funniest female stars in Hollywood
Reed, a critic for the New York Observer, has been under fire from many corners since Feb. 5, when he called Melissa McCarthy "tractor-sized" and a "female hippo" in his review of her latest hit comedy, co-starring Jason Bateman. He also accused the Oscar-nominated actress of being "a gimmick comedian who has devoted her short career to being obese and obnoxious with equal success."
"That's obnoxious in itself," Jenny McCarthy told E! of Reed's insults. "For anyone to attack like that, it's just wrong and hurtful, and it doesn't do anyone any good."
PHOTOS: Stars who've been bullied for their weight
She's not the only one outraged by Reed's review. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels -- who struggled with her weight as an adolescent -- also slammed the film critic for his hurtful remarks. "It's evil," Michaels told ET. "It's just plain cruelty, and it's unnecessary."
"That kind of prejudice is wrong in every possible way," the 38-year-old fitness guru added. "I'm here to say when you do things like that, it's spreading harm and it's hurtful and it's prejudice."
Reed, for his part, stands by what he said. Addressing the backlash in a radio interview with WOR 710's Mark Simone on Feb. 12, he defended his review and attempted to clarify what he meant by the comments.
PHOTOS: Most talked-about celeb bodies
"My point was that I object to using health issues like obesity as comic talking points," he said. "[Melissa McCarthy] is basing her career on being obnoxious and being overweight. And I don't think that's funny. I have too many friends that have died of obesity-related illnesses, heart problems and diabetes, and I have actually lost friends to this...I don't care how much she weighs. I don't care how much Melissa McCarthy weighs. She wants to be fat? She's crying all the way to the bank."
In fact, Identity Thief had the fifth-biggest opening ever for a non-sequel R-rated comedy. Despite a blizzard in the Northeast, the flick racked up $36.6 million in ticket sales between Feb. 8 and Feb. 10, making it the top-performing film of the weekend.

Ellie Goulding Reinvigorates “Anything Could Happen” On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’: Watch
Pretty In Pink |
Fresh off the announcement that she’ll be opening for Bruno Mars on the incredibly-titled Moonshine Jungle tour, Ellie Goulding performed “Anything Could Happen” on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (February 12). This song has become a fixture of the TV performance circuit at this point, so we’d gotten a little tired of it. But, rocking a Snoball sweater and her signature short shorts, Ellie reinvigorated the track with a lively take.
The Halcyon standout sounded as fresh as ever, thanks in part to a great mix (rare for TV soundstages) that highlighted some piano pounding in the verses and cascading synths during the chorus. Ellie’s enthusiastic give-and-take with the crowd didn’t hurt, either.
Josh Groban Kicks Justin Bieber Off The Top Of The Album Chart
Well, someone had to knock Justin Bieber off the top of the chart. In this case, it’s cheerful crooner Josh Groban, whose sixth album All That Echoes is now his third to hit the peak position on the Billboard 200. Josh’s latest sold 145,000 copies in its first week. The 31-year-old singer’s first #1 arrived 10 years ago, in the form of the five-times Platinum Closer.
Meanwhile, speaking of Bieber, his Believe: Acoustic takes a tumble from #1 to #6 this week, as new releases like Tim McGraw‘s Two Lanes Of Freedom and the latest NOW compilation, plus Mumford & Sons‘ Grammy-nominated Babel, step over him. That’s okay - who needs a chart-topping album, anyway, when you’ve got 18-year-old washboard abs?
See how the rest of the Top 10 played out below.

Spotted: Jenna Dewan with a New Patterned Mini Purse, Can You Help Us ID the Bag?
If there was a purse similar to the one Hermione Granger had in Harry Potter, I would buy it right away. That tiny little bag was able to fit practically everything they needed, including a tent!
But seriously, such bags do exist. Well, not to the extent of fitting a tent, but there are purses that appear small and yet, are surprisingly able to accommodate a significant amount of things. I have one in my closet and I'm dreading the day when it’ll be too worn out to wear. Finding a replacement can be difficult.
Speaking of such bags, it looks like Jenna Dewan Tatum’s latest arm candy – a petite patterned purse with chain straps – is some kind of a heavy duty can-fit-a-whole-room bag too. She was spotted putting a good amount of stuff into it while out and about in L.A. a few days ago:

A closer look at Jenna’s bag
Can you ID Jenna’s mini purse? We tried to look for it online (and we looked really hard), but unfortunately, we ended up with nothing. Could it be a Choo? Maybe a Miu Miu? What do you think?
Nonetheless, here’s a slightly similar style from Anya Hindmarch if you’re fond of designer bags. This one is just as small, and it also comes with a flap:

And if it’s a value-for-money multi-tasker you want, here’s a really nice one from Tribeca. It’s made of genuine leather and has a very classic design. You can practically wear it with anything and it will work:

Olivia Wilde In Alexander McQueen Dress At The Bulgari Event – Find Dresses Inspired By Her Dress!
Olivia Wilde chose a blue and black embroidered Alexander McQueen frock for the Bulgari event. With that striking cobalt blue color and embroidered black details, she is certainly hard to overlook:
Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013 – Bulgari Celebrates Icons Of Style: The Serpenti at Bulgari Fifth Avenue – Arrivals Featuring: Olivia Wilde Where: New York City, NY, United States When: 09 Feb 2013
Olivia accessorized with Bulgari jewels as befits the occasion. I can't say I'm crazy over her heels and hairdo, but I definitely love her dress. The ornate details at the front and back of the dress perfectly accentuated the whole look.
But this dress is definitely elusive. I tried searching for shops to purchase it but it seems like you can only get it from Alexander McQueen shops. I do love the challenge of finding something that looks like it though.
These dresses are not exact replicas but they do have similar elements to the gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress.
1. Ellena Dress, $298.00, BCBGMaxAzria
This dress resembles Olivia's because they have the same sleeveless and round-necked structure. You can also find similar ornate print, although in this dress, the print is found at the sides:
2. Christina Baroque Dress, $144.00, Torn by Ronny Kobo
Had this dress been a tad longer, it would have been the perfect dress inspired by Olivia's McQueen frock. It has black baroque print in front and at the back as well:
3. Vittorio Dress, $447.00, Haus Alkire
The print on this dress also reminds me of Olivia's dress. It's a pity it didn't share the same cobalt blue color, but it could also be a perfect cocktail dress:
So what do you ladies think? Would you like to wear these dresses and copy Olivia's style?
